New Haven parlayed a decent outing from starter Mohammad Farmer into a solid win over the Binghamton Rumble Ponies. The final score was 8-4. The win gives New Haven a season record of 21-19.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Brecken Hershberger came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Binghamton pitcher Logan Isaacs, he hit a 1-2 fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting New Haven on top, 4-2.

"Mohammad doing his thing just hyped us all up," said New Haven manager Josiah Gordon.
