Craig Bryan led Altoona to a win over Halifax. The final score was 9-1. Bryan, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2061 draft, collected 3 RBI, while going 3 for 3 at the plate. The designated hitter also scored 2 times. Mark Hinkel was the winning pitcher. Over 5.1 innings, he allowed 1 run on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. The third-place Curve improved to 21-17.
Fuégo Sablo had a big run-scoring double for the Curve in the top of the third inning. With Altoona leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Flint Shay and swatted a double to center. It was his 13th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Curve ahead, 2-0.
"We were firing on all cylinders," said Curve manager Jose Ortiz.
