Leavitt Helps Fisher Cats Beat Curve, 9-0
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats trumped the Altoona Curve, 9-0, at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. New Hampshire left fielder Mark Leavitt was terrific. He went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 4. Buck Alderette, the winner, improved to 2-1. He held the Curve to no runs on 3 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 1. Wyatt Gisriel earned the save, his 2nd.

The Fisher Cats got an important contribution from first baseman Dylan Solomon, who in the bottom of the third punched a 0-1 changeup into left for a 2-run triple. It was his 5th triple of the season and put the Fisher Cats ahead, 3-0.

"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Solomon told the New Hampshire Observer.

The win makes New Hampshire 25-14.
