The first-place Lincoln Bighorns took on the Yonkers Dark Knights in front of a spirited crowd.
Matt Weber had a hand in Lincoln defeating Yonkers by the score of 5-3. Weber went 3 for 4 at the plate, scoring 1 times and driving in 2 runs. At 28-9, the Bighorns claim first place in the Eastern League Southwest Division.
Lincoln right fielder Josiah Crookston contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a slider into center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 32nd hit of the season and put the Bighorns ahead, 4-3.
"If it's down the middle," said Weber, "you might as well hit it."
