Koller Smacks 3 Homers in 15-3 Patriots Win

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies and Somerset Patriots left the fans buzzing.
The Somerset Patriots cruised to a win over the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, 15-3, at Arm & Hammer Park. Robbie Koller, who is tied for 3rd in the EL in total bases with 87, led the way, going 3-for-5 for Somerset. V.J. DeShazo, the winner, improved to 5-0. He held Binghamton to 1 run on 6 hits over 6 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. Virgil Rios earned the save for Somerset, his 2nd.
Early in the game, Koller had a grand slam home run for Somerset. It was his 17th home run of the season and put the Patriots on top, 4-0.
Said losing manager Chris Jaeger: "They knocked the snot out of us."
The Rumble Ponies have now dropped 5 straight.
