Binghamton 8-2 Losers to Patriots

The Somerset Patriots beat the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, 8-2, at Arm & Hammer Park. The Patriots got a fine performance from right fielder Tim Lynn, who went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The winning pitcher was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Bradford Little. He tossed 90 pitches over 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits. Somerset is now 25-17, Binghamton 19-23.
Avila Del Cid, who is tied for 3rd in the EL in RBI with 32, chipped in a 3-run home run for Somerset in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 3 RBI.
