Quebec turned a good performance from starting pitcher Rosario Zarate into a 4-1 triumph over the Altoona Curve at Metros Ballpark. The defeat makes Altoona 25-22.

The Metros got a big at-bat from right fielder Violante Almonte. For the game, Almonte went 2 for 3 with a double. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season gave Quebec a 1-0 lead.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Almonte. "And not try to do too much."
