SeaWolves Get Close Win Over Pilots, 3-2
|
The Erie SeaWolves called upon starter Oscar Killmer, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the Wichita Pilots, 3-2. Erie reliever Kenny Griner snagged the win, upping his record to 1-2. Pax Huang shouldered the loss. Wichita, at 29-18, has lost 5 straight.
Jason Wheeler delivered a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the ninth to win it for the SeaWolves. For the game, Wheeler went 1-3 with a walk and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI.
"Oscar did a good job keeping the game under control," said Erie manager Jose Villalobos.
