Altoona picked up a win at People's Natural Gas Field, bumping off the Quebec Metros, 5-0. Pitcher Ronnie D'Andrea was a major reason the Curve emerged victorious. The win makes Altoona 18-32.

The Curve got an important contribution from shortstop Hubert Evans, who in the bottom of the first punched a 2-1 fastball into left for a 2-run double. It was his 12th double of the season and put the Curve ahead, 3-0.

"Ronnie just went about his business, throwing strikes," said Altoona manager Sam Paulson.
