Binghamton got a big-time effort from pitcher Davey Green, but it wasn't enough to keep the Altoona Curve from winning the game, 6-4. Green threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Binghamton, at 13-38, has lost 6 straight.

Altoona got a clutch hit from Ross Bertrand. The first baseman launched a grand slam home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"The fans went nuts at the end," Bertrand said.
