Behind the bravura of first baseman Oscar Castro, the Quebec Metros topped the Yonkers Dark Knights by the score of 8-3. Castro went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Metros. Quebec reliever Russ Fitzwater picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jonathan Korona absorbed the loss. The Metros, at 25-28, inhabit 4th place in the Eastern League North Division.

Quebec took the lead, 5-3, on Tommy Oliviero's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Yonkers pitcher Jonathan Korona in the bottom of the eighth.

Castro told a Quebec Bulletin reporter that the win made him feel "upbeat about our team."
