Metros Squelch Rumble Ponies Offense in Shutout Win
|
Keith Hardison impressed in the 5-0 Quebec win over Binghamton. Hardison, who is tied for 3rd in the EL with a 1.004 OPS, was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 5 RBI. Ernest Baldwin picked up the win, lifting his record to 6-3 on the season. He struck out 1 and walked 3 in 6 innings, while yielding no runs. The win elevated the Metros to 27-26.
In the first inning, Hardison had a 2-run double for Quebec. It was his 7th double of the season and put the Metros on top, 2-0.
"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Hardison told the Quebec Times. "But we take nothing for granted."
