Dark Knights Tag Metros with 1-0 Loss
|
Metros Ballpark was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.
Donato Kline was masterful in helping the Yonkers Dark Knights take down the Quebec Metros, 1-0. Kline got the win, improving to 2-4. He gave up 4 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs. Picking up the save was 23-year old right-handed pitcher B.J. Hart.
Yonkers needed the clutch hitting of A.J. Williams to seal the deal. The third baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Dark Knights on top, 1-0. For the game, Williams had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Scoring was at a premium tonight," Williams said.
The win gives the Dark Knights a record of 17-38.
