Baysox Capture 5-1 Win at People's Natural Gas Field
The Bowie Baysox rode a solid performance from 25-year-old starting pitcher Blake Maze to a win, beating the Altoona Curve, 5-1, at People's Natural Gas Field. The winner was Maze. He threw 5.0 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Gary Chinchilla. Jeremy Alexander closed it out for Bowie, earning his 1st save.

Bowie used a well-timed hit by Nathan Ensor to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Baysox ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Bowie skipper Jackson Anthony.

The Baysox now have a record of 25-30.
