Curve Get Past Yonkers for 2-1 Win
|
The Altoona Curve picked up a win at Gunslingers Ballpark, knocking off the Yonkers Dark Knights, 2-1. On the mound for Altoona was left-hander Bernard Morris, who played a pivotal role in the win. Luke Leigh picked up the win in relief for Altoona, while Manuel Roche took the loss. Daniel Seaton finished to wrap up his 1st save.
With no one out in the top of the ninth, Cooper Twigg stroked a go-ahead solo home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put Altoona in front, 2-1.
Twigg attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
The win has Altoona at 19-34.
