Medeiros reaches base 3 times, Leads Baysox to Win
A 4-RBI performance from the 25-year old third baseman Ron Medeiros helped the Bowie Baysox beat the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, 10-6. Hestio Tavarez got the win, improving to 1-4. He held the Rumble Ponies to 1 run on 6 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 2. Picking up the save was Patrick Chakos, his 11th.

Bowie shortstop Maximus Wallace contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a cutter to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 31st hit of the season and put the Baysox ahead, 4-1.

"I like to lead by example," said Wallace. "I'm glad I could contribute to a good win."

At 27-29, Bowie is in 7th place in the Eastern League Southwest Division.
