Curve Beat Grizzlies, 6-1
|
Altoona Curve starter Zach Holst turned in a top-notch performance against the Gateway Grizzlies at People's Natural Gas Field. The result was a win for the Curve, 6-1. Altoona, at 22-35, holds down 8th place in the Eastern League Southwest Division.
Hale Chong hit a 2-run double off Gil Szymkiewicz in the bottom of the second, which put the Curve in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, Chong had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"It's easier to pitch when you get run support," said Holst.
