Barnstormers Continue Skid, Thanks to Betancourt, Baysox
The Bowie Baysox stormed past the Lancaster Barnstormers, 12-6, at Prince George's Stadium. Bowie catcherCody Betancourt led the hit parade. He went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 6. Picking up the save was 27-year old right-handed pitcher Stingray Gallo. Bowie's winning streak has reached 6 games.

With Bowie leading 4-3 in the bottom of the fifth, Betancourt hit a fastball from Jeffrey Grow for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Baysox ahead, 7-3.

"Hitting is contagious. And when you have a lineup that's going to throw out competitive at-bats one through nine, it makes you want to join in," said Betancourt.
