Somerset and Erie got after it at Jerry Uht Park.

Riding the 2-hit performance of the 23-year old left fielder Tucker Rodriguez, the Somerset Patriots defeated the Erie SeaWolves, 10-1. Brian Hoffman was the winner. Over 6.1 innings, he yielded 1 run on 4 hits, with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts.

With Somerset leading 3-0 in the top of the fourth, Rodriguez batted against Erie pitcher Owen Hoose. Rodriguez hit a fastball to right for a grand slam home run. His 1st home run of the season put the Patriots on top, 7-0.
