The Binghamton Rumble Ponies faced a tough opponent in Altoona pitcher Giovanni Borromini, but did just enough to pull out the victory at NYSEG Stadium by a final score of 5-2. Borromini went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. After today's action, Binghamton sits at 34-27, while Altoona falls to 25-36.

Lauro Maldonado aided the Binghamton cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the right fielder went 1-4.

"I still think this team can play even better," Maldonado told the Binghamton News.
