Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Rumble Ponies beat the Curve.

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies got a stellar performance from pitcher Jared Ward, who handcuffed the Altoona offense en route to a win, 4-2, at NYSEG Stadium. In 5 innings, Ward surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run. Heathcliff Martin picked up the save, his 2nd.

The Rumble Ponies got an important contribution from designated hitter Austin Pantoja, who in the bottom of the third punched a 1-2 fastball into right for a solo home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Rumble Ponies ahead, 3-1.

Pantoja attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
