The Binghamton Rumble Ponies topped the Altoona Curve, 6-3, in Eastern League action at NYSEG Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Binghamton pitcher Jimmy Cayot. The winner was Binghamton reliever Emmett Buxton, now 1-0. The loser was Lee Villagran. The Rumble Ponies raised their record to 36-27.

The Rumble Ponies got an important contribution from center fielder Lauro Maldonado, who in the bottom of the eighth punched a 1-2 sinker into left-center for a run-scoring double. It was his 13th double of the season and put the Rumble Ponies ahead, 4-3.

Maldonado called the win "a team effort."
