SeaWolves Beat Baysox, 4-0
|
The Erie SeaWolves racked up a win at Jerry Uht Park, bumping off the Bowie Baysox, 4-0. Jude Layton, who started for Erie, pitched effectively for his team. Riley Snipes nailed down his 1st save. The win takes Erie to 3-1.
The SeaWolves got a big at-bat from designated hitter Tim Peters. For the game, Peters went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Erie a 2-0 lead.
"We've got a great group of guys," Peters said, "and we're having fun right now."
