Lincoln first baseman Danny Talong had a good game, even if his team did not. The Bighorns dropped a 4-3 decision to Hartford at ONEOK Field. Talong went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs. Hartford is now 24-37, Lincoln 39-22.
Hartford used a timely hit from Hunter Mirjana to get the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Yard Goats ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
Lincoln manager Brian Doyle said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
