Erie pitcher R.L. Unsworth did his part in helping his team beat the Lincoln Bighorns, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Norberto Robledo closed it out for his 17th save. With the win, the SeaWolves improved to 41-24.

Piero Davila had a big 3-run home run for the SeaWolves in the bottom of the first inning. With Erie leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a sinker from Alfredo Gomez, who is tied for 3rd in the EL with a 1.03 WHIP, and punished it. The result was his 13th home run of the season, which put the SeaWolves on top, 4-0.

Erie manager Al Alcantara praised his team's "energy."
