SeaWolves Better Bighorns, 4-3
|
Starting pitcher Duke Icenogle pitched well enough to help the Erie SeaWolves beat the Lincoln Bighorns, 4-3. Zeke Brown wrapped it up, recording his 1st save. The SeaWolves bumped their record to 34-33 with this latest triumph.
The SeaWolves got a big at-bat from catcher Virgil Kilbourn. For the game, Kilbourn was 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Erie a 2-0 lead.
"Duke did a nice job," said SeaWolves manager Jonathan Stout.
