Bowie Wins, 4-3, in Extra Innings
|
Bowie starter Nataniel Pantoja pitched well against the Hartford Yard Goats at Dunkin' Donuts Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. The win belongs to Leo Morey in relief. His record improves to 3-3. Caleb Montbriand took the loss for Hartford. Phil Gilbert was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 15 of 20 save opportunities.
It could have been a different outcome for Bowie, had it not been for Hugo Coutu, the 27-year old center fielder . Coutu contributed a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put Bowie up, 4-3.
"I guess we'll all be a happy family for at least one day," said Pantoja.
With the win, Bowie raised its record to 33-33.
