Quebec second baseman Marc Carpenter had a 4-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Akron RubberDucks, 14-5. Quebec reliever Conrado Portillo picked up the win, upping his record to 5-1. Justin Falconer took the loss. The victory gives the Metros a record of 44-23.
In the top of the second, the Metros took a 3-0 lead when Lino Torres hit a 2-run single.
Carpenter told a local reporter: "My job is to go out and play as hard as I can."
