Garth Thomas was nothing short of phenomenal for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. The 23-year-old right-hander was a big reason his team beat the New Haven Ravens, 4-0. The Fisher Cats bumped their record to 52-18 with this win.

New Hampshire used the hitting of Andy Gard to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Fisher Cats on top, 2-0. For the game, Gard had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Thomas. "Successful pitchers do it."
