The Somerset Patriots got a superb performance from pitcher Nicky Bross, but the Providence Crabs still won the game, 5-3. Bross threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball. Providence bumps their record to 35-39 with the win.

Providence took a 4-3 lead on Johnson Fore's 18th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Fore hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Somerset pitcher Axel Adams visibly frustrated.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Fore. "And not try to do too much."
