The Somerset Patriots and Halifax Frigates lit up the scoreboard.

In a high-scoring contest between Somerset and Halifax, pinch hitter Perry Cheney was a difference-maker. Cheney distinguished himself in the 11-8 Somerset win. He was 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Somerset reliever Thomas Wallen was the winner. His record is now 3-2. The losing pitcher was Roberto Feliz. Ben Kessel picked up the save for Somerset, his 7th of the year.

Cheney had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-1 fastball from Roberto Feliz, he banged a grand slam home run to right-center, giving the Patriots a 11-7 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Cheney.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Cheney said after the game.

The 6th-place Patriots now have a win-loss record of 36-41.
