Portland and Binghamton took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

Elijah Sorenson powered the Portland Sea Dogs to a win over the Binghamton Rumble Ponies. The final score was 8-6. The Portland second baseman was a force to be reckoned with. He banged out 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Nathan Turnage recorded the save, his 17th.

In the top of the sixth, Portland shortstop Osmundo Logroño had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out, Logroño stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 5-3, Portland. For the game, he was 2-4 with 2 singles.

"We maximized our offense today," said Portland skipper Matt Aguirre. "That makes everyone's life easier."
