The Erie SeaWolves nipped the Yonkers Dark Knights, 2-1, at Gunslingers Ballpark. Erie pitcher Jeremiah Rector, in particular, starred. Travis Salsgiver closed it out for Erie, earning his 1st save. The 5th-place SeaWolves improved to 44-42.

Erie used the timely hitting of Zackary Zickgraf to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the SeaWolves on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Zickgraf.
