The Akron RubberDucks inaugurated their 2057 season with a tough 2-1 loss to the Bowie Baysox at Canal Park. Starting Pitcher Jake Fagen had perhaps the best performance for Bowie. Fagen yielded 1 run over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 0, and struck out 2. His record improves to 1-0.
Leo Heroy had a direct impact on the outcome. Heroy contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Bowie up, 1-0.
