Altoona starter Hunter Rentschler had a strong outing against the Lincoln Bighorns at People's Natural Gas Field. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. Altoona reliever Kristian Paez picked up the win to move to 3-1. Bentley Jones suffered the loss. Altoona's record now stands at 40-48, placing them 7th in the Eastern League Southwest Division.

The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Altoona trailing 2-0, Zach Myers jumped on a 1-1 slider from Bentley Jones for a 3-run home run, sending the Curve to a walk-off win.

"Hunter had swing-and-miss stuff," said Altoona manager Sam Paulson.
