Grizzlies Take Tight Tilt
The Gateway Grizzlies picked up a win at FNB Field, topping the Providence Crabs, 3-2. On the mound for Gateway was right-hander Kelvin Nash. He played a principal role in the triumph. Nash picked up the win for Gateway, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 2-7. Gerald Otto closed it out for Gateway, earning his 22nd save.

Gateway took a 3-2 lead on Davey Dufford's 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Dufford hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Providence pitcher Troy Bianco visibly frustrated.

"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Providence manager Craig Hodge.

Gateway is now 41-45, Providence 38-48.
