Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Akron RubberDucks and Lancaster Barnstormers.

The Akron RubberDucks earned a close win over the Lancaster Barnstormers, thanks in part to Noah Giese. The Akron right-hander, who is tied for 10th in the EL in innings pitched with 100.0, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. The winning pitcher was Giese, now 7-7. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 8.

Solomon Andrews helped out the Akron cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the shortstop went 1 for 3 with a hit by pitch.

"Noah is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Akron manager Damon Cordero.

The RubberDucks now own a record of 50-36.
