Jones Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits
Wichita center fielder Thomas Jones had a big day at FirstEnergy Stadium against the Lancaster Barnstormers. The 26-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led to the 10-5 Pilots triumph over Lancaster.

"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Jones said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."

Thomas Jones singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
