Rumble Ponies Sink RubberDucks, 9-4

The home team gave the crowd at NYSEG Stadium something to cheer about.
The Binghamton Rumble Ponies topped the Akron RubberDucks, 9-4, in Eastern League action at NYSEG Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Binghamton pinch hitter Hunter Wright. Gerardo Mendez picked up the win in relief for Binghamton, while Kyler Hester took the loss.
In the bottom of the sixth, the Rumble Ponies grabbed the lead when Wright hit his 9th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Kyler Hester made it 6-4, Binghamton.
"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Binghamton manager Chris Jaeger.
Despite the win, Binghamton still has a pathetic 22-70 record.
