Fisher Cats Drop Bighorns, 1-0
|
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats did just enough to secure a victory over the Lincoln Bighorns, 1-0, at ONEOK Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Cesar Canseco. Jon Purser was called on to finish, recording his 9th save. The Fisher Cats go to 54-37, putting them third in the Eastern League North Division.
P.J. Sinnott, the 24-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Sinnott contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put New Hampshire up, 1-0.
In comments to the New Hampshire Observer, Canseco admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
