SeaWolves Top Yard Goats, 4-1, Behind Rector
|
Erie SeaWolves starter Jeremiah Rector turned in an exceptional performance against the Hartford Yard Goats at Dunkin' Donuts Park, resulting in a Erie win, 4-1. Kenny Griner closed out the game, earning his 20th save. The Yard Goats have now dropped 5 straight.
Rector, who leaned on his curveball, allowed 1 run on just 3 hits over 8 innings for the SeaWolves. For the most part, Hartford hitters were simply overmatched.
"Jeremiah was exceptional and he pitched with a purpose," said Erie manager Jose Villalobos.
