In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

Erie got a decent performance from pitcher Johnny Takeyo, but it wasn't enough to beat the Halifax Frigates. Halifax won the MGM Park contest, 7-4. Takeyo threw 6.0 innings allowing 4 runs for the losing team. The Frigates raised their record to 40-56.

Had Luke Forsyth not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Forsyth hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Frigates.

"I know we have our doubters," said Erie manager Chris Jachim. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
