Hartford rode a good effort from starter Dagney Wagner to beat the Quebec Metros at Dunkin' Donuts Park. The final score was 4-1. In 5 innings, Wagner surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Carter Scott picked up the save, his 21st.
Kane Rodman drove in one run for Hartford. The 26-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Colón Rodríguez. It was his 32nd RBI of the season.
"Dagney -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Yard Goats manager Jake Anderson. "He was the key to us winning."
