NYSEG Stadium was the site of a competitive game between the Quebec Metros and Binghamton Rumble Ponies.

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies knocked off the Quebec Metros, 5-3, in Eastern League action at NYSEG Stadium. Binghamton pitcher and Indian Wells, California, native Wayne Pressey had an outstanding performance. In 7.1 innings, Pressey surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. Gwynn Wilson closed it out for his 24th save.

In the bottom of the sixth, with the game tied, the Metros allowed the Rumble Ponies to take a 3-1 lead on a base hit and Quebec error.

"Wayne was exceptional and he pitched with a purpose," said Binghamton manager John Newton.

The loss makes Quebec 53-40.
