New Hampshire first baseman Lorenzo Hooft was sensational. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Altoona beat the Fisher Cats, 4-3. Micah Duncan earned the save for Altoona, his 6th. Altoona is now 51-42. New Hampshire is 54-39.

Xavier Roland dealt the Fisher Cats a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with a runner on 3rd and Altoona leading 3-1, Roland hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single.

Roland called winning a team effort. "It's not the same guy every time," he said. "It's the sum of the parts."
