The Gateway Grizzlies handed the Binghamton Rumble Ponies a 6-4 defeat at FNB Field. Catcher Shaun Barretti starred for Gateway. He was 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 3 runs. The winner was Reece DeGennaro in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Bylent Claus took the loss. The loss drops Binghamton to 3-3.

Gateway took a 6-4 lead on Brian Hurst's 1st triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which Hurst hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Binghamton pitcher Kevin Laraway visibly frustrated.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Hurst told the Gateway Bulletin.
