Maas Helps RubberDucks Beat Dark Knights, 9-7
The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.

The Akron RubberDucks knocked off the Yonkers Dark Knights, 9-7, at Canal Park. Justin Maas was a big reason Akron won. The third baseman went 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. With the win, Akron improves its record to 5-1.

The RubberDucks got a big hit from pinch hitter Glen Roberts. In the bottom of the sixth, Roberts smacked a 2-run double off Yonkers pitcher Henry Yim. It was his 1st double of the season. Suddenly, the RubberDucks were ahead, 8-7.

"Been a rough stretch for us," said Yonkers manager Vince Hendrix.
