McConnell Lifts Metros to 6-3 Triumph
Quebec shortstop Fredric McConnell contributed significantly to his team's 6-3 win over the Erie SeaWolves. McConnell went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Metros. Quebec starter Conlan Melton was credited with the win after throwing 91 pitches over 8 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. With the win, Quebec has a record of 56-41. Erie falls to 56-41.

McConnell had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a full count cutter from Jammer Dougherty, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Metros a 6-3 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for McConnell.
