The bats were silent much of the day at NYSEG Stadium. But Jaxon DeMeuse conjured up just enough offense to carry the Pilots past the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, 3-0. DeMeuse was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Luke Maples got the save, his 1st in 1 chances. With the victory, the Pilots upped their record to 53-44.

With Wichita leading 1-0 in the top of the eighth, DeMeuse came up to bat against Binghamton pitcher Simon Malloy. DeMeuse hit a fastball to center for a run-scoring double. His 8th double of the season put the Pilots on top, 2-0.

In his postgame comments, Pilots manager Ron Parks heaped praise on DeMeuse. "For a young player, he's done a lot of good things for us."
