Wichita and Binghamton duked it out and the Pilots came out victorious.

The Wichita Pilots defeated the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, 4-1, in Eastern League action at NYSEG Stadium. Wichita pitcher Lucas Ledgerwood had a standout performance. Ledgerwood got the win, improving to 4-10. He allowed 7 hits and walked 0 over 7 innings. Ledgerwood allowed no runs.

Wichita used the timely hitting of Jesús Patino to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Pilots on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Patino.

The Pilots are now 54-44, while the Rumble Ponies fall to 53-45.
