Akron picked up a win at Canal Park, bumping off the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 4-2. Pitcher Turner Pacheco was a major reason the RubberDucks emerged victorious. Pacheco got the win, improving to 6-3. He gave up 3 hits and walked 1 over 7.2 innings. He allowed 2 runs. With the win, Akron upped its record to 55-44.

The Fisher Cats had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the RubberDucks going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old left fielder Parker Johnson came to the plate. Johnson hit a solo home run on a 0-1 cutter from New Hampshire hurler Cristian Esquibel. It was Johnson's 15th home run of the year.

"Turner was in attack mode the whole game," said Akron manager Damon Cordero.
