Win Lifts Bighorns to 66-38
|
Lincoln and Quebec played a hard-fought contest.
The Lincoln Bighorns got a magnificent effort from pitcher B.J. Jonas, who kept Quebec hitters in check en route to a 3-1 Bighorns win at Metros Ballpark. The first-place Bighorns are 66-38.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Jacob Jones? The Lincoln first baseman had a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Bighorns on top, 2-1. For the game, Jones had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
Jones called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
