Bowie got a terrific game from shortstop Elvys Armendariz. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Halifax, 8-7. Armendariz belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. With the win, Halifax pushed its record to 54-50.

The decisive blow was delivered by Elijah Harris in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off 24-year old left-handed pitcher Tatum Rousseau to win the game for Halifax. The home crowd went nuts.

"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Harris told the Halifax Daily News.
