The Somerset Patriots managed to get by the Wichita Pilots, 5-4, at Regions Field. Somerset pitcher Ryder Behr set himself apart with his performance. Ben Kessel picked up the win in relief for Somerset, while Micah McDevitt took the loss. Mario Córdova earned the save for Somerset, his 13th.

Somerset used a clutch hit from José Maria Vásquez to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Patriots ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"The game of baseball will test you," said Alex Chavez, the Somerset skipper. "This one tested us."

Somerset is now 50-53. Wichita is 57-46.
